Open Startup Announces the 3rd Edition of Global Immersion Week

For the first time, Morocco hosts the third edition (May 13-24, 2024) of Global Immersion Week (GIW) by Open Startup (OST), aimed at highlighting the burgeoning innovation ecosystems across Africa, with a special focus on BlueTech, EdTech, HealthTech, and FinTech startups.

GIW 2024 will bring together over 100 leaders from the global startup ecosystem, representing nearly 15 countries, including the host country, Morocco, as well as South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Egypt, Tunisia, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, France, and Saudi Arabia. Key highlights of this event include opening speeches ranging from government officials to industry leaders, discussing the future of technology and innovation in Africa.

Panels and workshops, featuring prominent speakers such as TechStars, Al Mada Ventures VC, Village Capital, WAVE, WISE, 500 Startups, and Africinvest, among others, will focus on topics such as investment readiness, sustainable ecosystem building, and promoting transcontinental partnerships.

Networking opportunities will also be provided, allowing participants to connect with a curated list of guests, including top venture capital investors, CEOs of support structures, founders of pan-African startups, and policymakers.

This event is supported by Open Startup’s founding partners, including AfricaGrow – Technical Assistance Facility funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, Columbia Engineering, Columbia Business School, the U.S. Embassy in Tunis, AfricInvest Group, and The Dot.
