As part of the Morocco Digital 2030 strategy, a framework partnership agreement was signed on Saturday, March 8, in Rabat to launch the national program for training children in digital technologies and artificial intelligence (AI). This initiative aims to prepare a new generation proficient in technological tools and AI concepts from an early age.
The agreement was signed by key figures, including:
- Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, Minister of Digital Transition and Administration Reform,
- Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, Minister of Youth, Culture, and Communication,
- Fouzi Lekjaa, Delegate Minister to the Minister of Economy and Finance, in charge of the Budget,
- Ibtissam Khamlichi, representative of Mohammed VI Polytechnic University.
This partnership marks a significant step in the implementation of the Morocco Digital 2030 strategy, which aims to create a dynamic and inclusive digital ecosystem.
Program Objectives
The program aims to:
- Democratize access to digital skills and AI for all young people, emphasizing responsible and ethical use of technology.
- Reduce the digital divide by ensuring equal access to technological tools across the country.
- Train a new generation capable of adapting to future technological challenges and contributing to the nation’s digital economy.
Target Audience and Deployment
The first phase of the program will target children aged 8 to 14, before being extended to youth aged 15 to 18. Ultimately, nearly 200,000 children are expected to benefit from this training nationwide.
The program will be deployed through twelve youth centers, covering all twelve regions of Morocco. These spaces will serve as hubs for organizing training sessions, practical workshops, and awareness activities on emerging technologies.

To ensure the program’s success, several measures will be implemented:
- Creation of age-appropriate training content.
- Organization of awareness and training sessions for children and supervisors.
- Promotion of emerging technologies such as AI, robotics, and coding.
