On March 7, 2025, the National Agency for Water and Forests (ANEF) and EUCAFOREST, a subsidiary of the Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion (CDG) Group, formalized a strategic partnership by signing a collaboration agreement in research and development. This agreement aims to strengthen innovation and excellence in the field of forestry plantations in Morocco.

A Collaboration in Service of Sustainable Forestry

Aligned with the « Forests of Morocco 2020-2030 » Strategy, initiated under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, this partnership reflects Morocco’s commitment to sustainable development and the preservation of forest ecosystems.

Towards Modern and Resilient Forest Management

The main objective of this collaboration is to optimize and modernize forestry practices through technological innovation, varietal selection, and the improvement of technical processes. The agreement also places particular emphasis on climate change adaptation and the enhancement of timber resources.

Through this partnership, ANEF and EUCAFOREST are pooling their expertise to develop solutions tailored to the Kingdom’s specific ecological conditions. This comprehensive approach aims to promote sustainable forest management, strengthen resilience against climate challenges, and combat desertification.

A Commitment to a Green and Innovative Economy

Finally, this agreement demonstrates ANEF’s commitment to adopting an open and collaborative approach, strengthening sustainable forest management, and fostering innovation in service of Morocco’s forest ecosystems.
