The development company of the Rabat region has decided to launch a project to install cameras based on artificial intelligence to monitor the city’s streets and neighborhoods, along with the establishment of command centers and data centers.
The system relies on artificial intelligence (AI) and deep learning techniques and is expected to be implemented and operational before the end of 2025.
The project aims to create an advanced surveillance network that includes cameras equipped with facial recognition capabilities and automatic license plate reading.
The project has been divided into two main parts:
The first concerns the establishment of command centers and data centers, where two main centers will be created to manage the system efficiently. They will be equipped according to international standards to ensure a secure and high-performance infrastructure.
The second part of the project involves the deployment of a video surveillance system. This includes the installation of smart cameras of various types, such as facial recognition cameras, panoramic and multi-angle cameras (PTZ), as well as long-range cameras. The project will also include an advanced network infrastructure.
