The Moroccan Federation of Information Technology, Telecommunications and Offshoring (APEBI) has announced the launch of the “APEBI Village” as part of the upcoming edition of GITEX AFRICA, a global landmark event in technology and innovation. Spanning an area of 510 square meters, this strategic platform is designed to highlight the excellence of Morocco’s digital ecosystem.
During a press conference held on Monday, April 7, 2025, at the Technopark in Casablanca, Mr. Redouane El Haloui, President of APEBI, stated that this tech village will bring together over 50 key players in the digital field—including startups, SMEs, large corporations, as well as public and private partners. The initiative aims to foster collaboration, create new partnership opportunities, and promote Moroccan expertise across Africa and internationally. He emphasized that the village’s strategic location within the exhibition—close to major institutions and decision-makers—offers an ideal showcase for participating companies.
In addition to the exhibition area, the village will feature the AGORA TECH platform, an interactive space dedicated to scientific programming and digital innovation. This forum will host experts, stakeholders, and pioneers to discuss emerging trends and digital transformations shaping the future of the African continent.
Moreover, APEBI is launching, for the first time, the PME TECH EXPORT program, aimed at supporting high-potential Moroccan companies in their international expansion. The program is structured in three stages:
- Selection of 20 Moroccan companies to exhibit at GITEX AFRICA 2025.
- Organization of a business mission to France in November, where 10 selected companies will meet international partners following a targeted alignment phase.
- A final event in Morocco in January 2026 to share successful experiences and highlight companies that have advanced on the path to globalization.
GITEX AFRICA 2025 marks a pivotal moment for APEBI in its efforts to support the digital transformation led by Moroccan companies and to reinforce Morocco’s role as a major player in the global digital economy. This initiative is part of the “Morocco Digital 2030” vision, and will culminate in an official ceremony on April 14, gathering key tech stakeholders from Morocco and around the world.
