Casablanca, June 12, 2025 – Under the theme « Together towards energy autonomy for Morocco and Africa, » a Moroccan-French startup specializing in innovative solar solutions officially announces its launch in Morocco. Led by a recognized Moroccan expert in the photovoltaic sector, it is bringing to the Moroccan market a solution that aims to actively contribute to national energy sovereignty by facilitating access to local, sustainable, and economically advantageous energy solutions that are accessible to all Moroccans.
In a global context of growing geopolitical tensions, Morocco remains highly dependent on imported energy resources (coal, oil, natural gas). This dependence weighs heavily on the national economy, with a significant annual energy bill, and exposes the country to increased vulnerability to international fluctuations.
Aware of these challenges, and in accordance with the strategic guidelines set by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Morocco aims to increase the share of renewable energy to 52% by 2030.
Inspired by international successes, this solution also proposes raising awareness among institutions about the possibility of introducing direct subsidies to facilitate the installation of these energy solutions in Moroccan homes. This incentive-based approach would enable the massive mobilization of Moroccan citizens, accelerate the development of local energy production, and ensure maximum independence from external constraints. According to initial estimates made by the founders of this initiative, nearly 100,000 Moroccan households are already ready to adopt solar solutions among a pool of more than 800,000 urban dwellings particularly suited to this type of equipment.
This is a Moroccan-French collaboration based on an ambitious and inclusive vision for Africa. By making Morocco a true strategic energy hub for the continent, the startup aims, on the one hand, to contribute to building an energy- and economically self-sufficient Africa, capable of meeting the essential needs of all its inhabitants; and, on the other, to clearly demonstrate its ambition: to become a central player in the national and continental energy transition, for a prosperous, sustainable, and sovereign Africa.
